Three of the Slattery kids came for a visit in August. They are the 3 youngest children of Mary Ann’s sister, Jennifer. This post has some pictures from their visit. I included quite a few action shots of them in the pool, because the kids get a kick out of those pictures.
They arrived on Southwest Airlines on Monday, August 24, and left on Friday, August 28. Mary Ann and I got escort passes to greet them at the gate. Their ages are 9, 12, and 14 (Chris, Lily, Sophia, respectively). Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there weren’t a lot of activities we could do. Also, we’re having unseasonably hot weather, so we didn’t do any hikes. We got out a little bit (3-D golf, restaurant in Maricopa, movies, shopping, etc.), but the pool was a good form of entertainment for them, and the water was warm. They also did some cooking projects with Mary Ann, including apple pie, and biscotti!
It was nice to have them!

Fun to have kids around again? The pool is perfect entertainment and baking is a great activity too!
yes, fun, but a lot of work too! You know how that is.
Looks like fun times with the Slattery kids!
The pool hasn’t gotten that much use for quite some
time I bet.
You’re right – the pool gets used a lot more when kids are around!
Great action shots, Joe! Beautiful children. I’m glad you had a good visit.

It was fun! They enjoyed making the deserts, and they also liked eating them (which is my specialty).
