Mary Ann had the day off on Wednesday, so we took a trip to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum (BTA). We got a late start because I had a doctor appointment in the morning. There were a lot of people there, maybe because it was a holiday (veterans day).
We wanted to see the new Wallace Desert Garden at BTA. H.B. Wallace had a large garden in north Scottsdale (a suburb of Phoenix) with over 5000 plants and over 1600 different species. This was moved to the arboretum to create a very large new exhibit. It covers 13 acres, with 1.5 miles of new trails. It’s an awesome new addition to the Arboretum! If you’re interested in more details, see here, and here.
I got a few pictures of the ‘regulars’ (birds), and some shots from the new Wallace Desert Garden.

Beautiful. Looks like a great addition to your “must see” sites in AZ.
