Father Charlie and I hiked the Tres Rios Wetlands between the trailhead on the east side (91st Ave; a permit is required) and the park on the west side (the Base & Meridian Wildlife Area near ISR Raceway on Avondale Avenue). It’s about a 3 mile hike. I also threw in two pictures I took when Mary Ann and I went to Kansas in March.
We didn’t see a lot of wildlife on the hike, just some common birds. We were surprised not to see any raptors. The Globe Chamomile and Brittlebush were blooming, and the Globe Chamomile was thick in the desert.
Mary Ann and I went to Wichita to visit family in early March. I didn’t take many pictures. On our last day there we went to Oak Park, and I included a couple of pictures of Wood Ducks from there.

Beautiful, Joe. I’ve missed looking at your shots — it’s been so busy. Hope you have a wonderful Holy Week. I’m looking at my calendar and hope we can get together soon.
Thanks. Same to you for Holy Week and Easter!
Is that a snake swimming in the bottom center of the reflection pond photo?
I don’t know what it is, but I was wondering about it also. Possible a reflection from the sky, like a contrail?
