Mary Ann and I visited Wichita in June.
We left Phoenix on Allegiant Airlines on Wednesday evening (6/24), and returned on Monday evening (6/29). Our plane was two hours delayed leaving Wichita. TheĀ purpose of this trip was to visit family. We stayed with Nancy who was, as usual, an excellent host, putting up with us high maintenance visitors. Thanks also to Teresa for letting us use her Mazda Miata while we were there. It was a fun little car to drive.
Jane came up from Dallas, along with her son Brad, his wife Jordan, and their son Cayson (about 14 months old?).
There was a family barbecue on Saturday at Lisa’s house.
I took some pictures when we visited John and Jenny (and all the kids).
On Sunday we went to the Sedgwick County Park in Wichita, and a I got a few bird pictures. The Baltimore Oriole did us a favor and flew into a nearby tree, but only for a very short time – not long enough for a good picture. The Blue Jay is very common in Kansas, but we don’t see them in the West, so I got a picture for my ‘collection’.
Here are the pictures:
